David here at work says that they run on a really big battery, and they have either a solar panel that helps keep the battery charged, and some have a built in generator.
still haven't called my dad about the answer, but go on over to the Metropolis, link is in my signature at the top of this thread, i need some help in a competition....
yes... i do recall seeing a solar panel on some...
maybe even all. but it seems like some don't
have one. i just think its really neat that i've
never seen one of those signs 'fading' etc and
i wondered what they ran on.
